St. Petersburg, Russia The State Hermitage Museum

The MANIFESTA 10 Dacha (a mobile education space) created a presence within the city of St. Petersburg and engaged almost 6000 people with MANIFESTA 10. As an education and audience development tool the Dacha was an attractive and inviting structure that travelled to different festivals in St. Petersburg to initiate discussions and workshops about MANIFESTA 10 and it’s artistic concepts. The mobile structure also created a buzz around MANIFESTA 10 in the city. 20% of tourists attended MANIFESTA 10 after engaging with the MANIFESTA 10 Dacha.

Mediators were at hand to mediate the artistic concepts of the biennial through making creative activity that engaged the passers-by or festivalgoer.
